It has an international reputation for outstanding care in areas of medicine including cardiac services, neurosurgery, liver and HPB medicine, rehabilitation, gynaecology, orthopaedics and many others.
Their specialist medical teams are supported by the very latest medical technology including the most advanced diagnostic imaging equipment available today.
They now require an Occupational Therapist to plan and implement dedicated Occupational Therapy (OT) assessment and intervention for neurologically impaired adult patients on a Acute Neuro-Rehab Unit. The aim is to enable the achievement of goals and patient-centered occupational performance outcomes. You'll also supervise and aid the development of Junior staff.
You will providing key contributions to the MDT in enabling patients to increase independence in identified ADL's and return home with reduced risk.
Additionally, you may be required to provide OT to acute/general medical patients as required.
Applicants are required to have significant experience in acute adult neuro rehab for in-patients, be competent in assessment and intervention for complex multi impairments and have splinting, posture and seating assessment and intervention skills.
You will also hold Occupational Therapy qualifications and be registrated with the HPC.
